Birdwatching

Click here if you're visiting from the Grow Your Blog Party...enjoy!
The After Christmas tree adorned outside with treats.

1.  I am "extremely" HAPPY that it is Friday...mostly because I can link up here to Random 5 with Nancy and the gang...but also, because it has been one crazy, crazy week at work!

2.  We are having a heat wave here in New York...the balmy 30's above freezing!  Must be because of the outdoor Super Bowl game.  I would love to see it snow, snow, snow for the game!  Just like the good old days in Steeler country!

3.  Our ukulele club is growing, with new members attending each month.  At our meeting next week, we are playing "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" in tribute to folk singer Pete Seeger who passed away this week at the age of 94.

4.  I am finishing up one more book for the "Art Journal" Hop/Swap that our Arty Tea Party started earlier in the year.  Then I will pass it on to the next person on the list to add her "talents".

5. I, too, am enjoying the Grow Your Blog Party that began last Saturday.  Click the link above on the sidebar to see all the participants.  So many blogs...and so many new friends.

  1. It's amazing how when one stops working Friday becomes just another day ... LOL
But I remember when I was working how wonderful Friday's were!
It will be in the low 40s here this weekend ... surely flip-flop weather! :-D
    Have a great weekend

    1. well Beth, the ukulele club sounds great...but the arty tea parties...now, I would NEVER tape them. Way too much going on at these to put out there to the general public...if ya know what I mean!!!

  3. Ah Bird Watching...what a wonderful pastime for those kitties. One of mine was doing that this week with all those strange meows, the tail twitching etc...,so comical.
The only thing I remember about ukulele music is Tiny Tim (remember him) and that once I live next door in an apartment where they played the darn thing at 1:00 am in the morning and I wanted to Sleep not listen to them.
A Steeler fan...boo, hiss (just kidding). I use to be a Oakland Raider fan and the Steelers were not my friends. Anyway I'll be rooting for those Seahawks this time around. I mean how can you live in WA state and not.

Re: Your comment in my blog... "The natural changing of seasons in the northeast is good for the soul." I love that! thank you!

I need the 4 Seasons. And yours is a lovely idea, of some of the "why," of my needing 4 Seasons.

And I really appreciate what you said, about negative vibes. I'm going to very-much-like reading here.

    Gentle hugs,
    Tessa~
