Liberate Your Art Postcard Swap

And they're off!  My postcards for the swap, hosted by KatEyeStudio, are in the mail!  It's so much fun to get art mail from all over the world!

This is my 5th year.  I will show my cards when the swap begins in March!  Check it out!

Until then...

ALOOOOOHA!

  1. So weird to see snow everywhere and yet we have greenish grass here in Michigan.

  2. i have a long story - see if you can follow it. when the hubs and i take a trip, even if it's just a day trip, we try to buy postcards from the area. we secretly fill them out and each one, mails theirs to the other. we try to write about fun things we did or what our favorite thing was for the day. a few days after you get home, they come in the mail. we have usually forgotten about them and it is so fun to receive them!!

i made a book with them...punching 3 holes on the side of each one and keeping them together with binder clips. i used lightweight wood to make a front and back cover!!!

    1. Oh I love this! My kids and I have been collecting postcards for a long time. I made a book for our youngest daughter with pockets for her to collect them in...it has maps on the cover and postage stamps from all over. I always send postcards home when we getaway. Look at my previous post here to see all the postcards I brought back from Hawaii on a trip to visit the ohana. Now the altered book I am working on will have them tucked away inside the pockets...and they have real vintage Hawaii stamps on them that are still good. My family will mail them back to me, and I have been mailing some to them to take their place. An interactive journal/scrapbook. Here's an idea...if you email me your addie I will send you one of my postcards! And the LYA swap may still be open for registration if you are interested... Thanks for stopping by!

  3. That snow picture is so pretty. Every time I see the snow, I smile big because I don't get a chance to see it living here unless I drive an hour away. I see that you are really into art and creating posts cards and such. You have a lovely blog, and we would appreciate it if you would follow us, and I would certainly come back and follow you as well. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
