5. I am doing a makeover of my daughter's bedroom before she comes home from college for TURKEY DAY! Funny thing, since she's not here, everyone seems to gravitate towards this new empty space. I even set up a nice place in there to play my uke. She'll be soooo thrilled...
Linking up today with A Rural Journal and Friday Fences.
birds in flight - awesome!!
ReplyDeletedon't think you want to smell Bear Spray (very similar to pepper spray as far as i know) so it will burn your eyes terribly ... don't try it. please!! you two are so funny. i wonder if we will ever need to use to spray? make me very nervous. ( :

ReplyDeleteLove the birds in flight!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flying birds!
ReplyDeleteI've also recently brought out my knitting.
Soon you will have your own ukulele orchestra. There has been one here for more than 60 years. Not the same members of course.
ReplyDeleteYour new ukelele is so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the ukelele playing in her room will be a big hit :)
ReplyDeleteYou will need a family member to do a video of you playing your uke so you can share on here.... :)
ReplyDeleteThat is just awesome!!! You will have to let us know what your family says about your tunes!!!! And what amazing shots!!! Truly breath taking!!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, when you learn the song you need to video yourself playing it and post it here to your blog so we ALL can smile :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love the ukelele my brother plays I love the sound. knitting is a good thing to do while waiting for anything I am finding.
ReplyDeleteMy girls rooms seem to be a magnet while not in use either. B
All the best for your ukelele learning...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful instrument - would love to hear you in concert!
ReplyDeleteOh am in such need to get into two daughters bedrooms, but need more than a makeover, probably in need of pest control... Here in Australia these kids don't leave home for college! Still I expect you are all looking forward to Turkey Day.

Ha! I laughed that your daughter's bedroom will be a surprise when she returns home. I guess that happens to just about every family. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere is a gentleman here in the small town I live in that makes Ukuleles. They're such beautiful instruments!
ReplyDeleteI play guitar, but I've never tried a Uke. Have you heard Over the Rainbow played on a Ukulele? It is stunning.
ReplyDeleteI just popped over from my buddy Keith's Optimistic Existentialists' blog.

I am almost 75, and this year I am asking Santa for a Ukulele. I have wanted one all of my life. Hope I have been good enough this year to receive one. genie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas scene. Nice and snowy. Thanks for the sweet things you said about the Christmas presents I made. Am still working on the leftover trees and making them into a banner or two. Still have my fingers crossed for the ukulele. genie
